The Carer Ally Half-Day Training

Carer Allies is a peer-led program designed to help everyday people confidently recognise, support, and include unpaid carers in workplaces and community spaces. In just half a day either in-person or online, you’ll gain the knowledge, language, and practical tools to ensure carers feel seen, respected, and included.
This is not just a “tick-the-box” diversity session. It’s a movement of trained Allies creating real change in everyday spaces.

Why This Matters

Over 2.65 million Australians are unpaid carers, balancing caregiving with work and life yet most do it without support.

Who It’s For

Carer Ally training is designed for anyone who interacts with carers, in workplaces, neighbourhoods, or community settings. This includes:
Workplaces – HR teams, managers, colleagues, staff reps.

  • Community Groups & Neighbourhood Centres – volunteers, coordinators, organisers.
  • Sports Clubs – coaches, committee members, team managers.
  • Schools & Early Learning Centres – teachers, admin staff, education assistants.
  • Faith & Cultural Groups – leaders, coordinators, pastoral care teams.
  • Local Government & Services – libraries, community officers, customer service staff.

If you want your environment to be carer-friendly, this is for you.
